Metrofungyn Biforte – indispensable for vaginal infections!

Composition:
1 vaginal capsule contains 750 mg metronidazole; 200 mg miconazole nitrate.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Combined antimicrobial, antifungal, antiprotozoal agent.

Indications:
Metrofungyn Biforte is used for topical treatment of vaginal infections, including:

• bacterial vaginosis
• trichomoniasis
• candidiasis (vulvovaginitis)
• mixed vaginal infections

Dosage and method of administration:
Do not swallow!
Metrofungyn Biforte is administered intravaginally: insert into the vagina with the blunt end of the capsule.

• Standard course: 1 vaginal capsule once a day at night for 7 days
• In recurrent infections: may be extended up to 14 days
• In trichomoniasis: recommended to combine with oral metronidazole; partner treatment is required

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to components; severe liver dysfunction; epilepsy; first trimester of pregnancy; lactation; porphyria; use of alcohol during treatment and for 3 days after end of treatment; use of disulfiram during treatment and for 2 weeks after end of treatment; patients under 18 years; virginal patients.

Storage conditions:
Store at 15 – 25 °C, protected from moisture and light; keep out of reach of children.

Packing:
5 vaginal gelatin capsules in blister, 2 blisters (10 capsules) in a carton box along with the insert-leaflet.
